The First Day of School!

We had a wonderful first day together! First graders learned a lot of rules today, but they also had a lot of fun. We played Alphabet Memory, created our own Alphabet Book for our classroom library, read the story Chrysanthemum and played some get-to-know-you games.  In math, we counted the number of letters in our name just like Chrysanthemum. Tomorrow, we will graph the number of letters in our name and talk about how we can use numbers, pictures, words, and models to solve problems.
