First Grade Supply List

Welcome to First Grade!  I'm sure parents and students alike are looking forward to the first day of school on August 27.  The first grade teachers have prepared a list of supplies that our students will need this year.  Throughout the year, special projects may require additional supplies such as paper towel rolls, brown paper bags, cereal boxes, etc.  I will let you know if and when these supplies are needed and try to provide lots of advance notice so you have time to collect them.  In the meantime, if you have something you would like to donate to our classroom, please let me know!  As always, email me with any questions: Laura.McHenry@dpsnc.net.

Each Student will need:
24 count Crayola Crayons
24 count Washable markers (I prefer crayons but students love markers - this is your choice)
10 glue sticks
1 dozen sharpened #2 pencils
4 pocket folders (without prongs)
1 pair of rounded edge scissors
1 Plastic pencil box
2 erasers

Classroom Wish List:
Facial tissues (Kleenex, Puffs, etc.)
Hand sanitizer
Clorox wipes
Ziploc bags
Graham crackers or Animal crackers
Old tennis balls (once they've lost their bounce, they make great furniture pads)
